Spring Cleaning Made Simple (free digital download)
Kick start your Spring cleaning! This cheat sheet is perfect if you're not sure where to begin or if you need help focusing on jobs that will have the highest impact.
I've always loved the expression "if you have more than 3 priorities, you don't" so there are 3 activities prioritized (in blue) for each space. Tackling these alone will make a big impact - and hopefully leave you feeling fantastic about the effort! The rest of the list (in rose) are bonus jobs or for the domestic deities among us...
A few notes:
This guide covers the bigger jobs that you will likely undertake only a few times a year - we left off things like cleaning counters, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning toilets, etc. Hopefully these tasks happen more regularly!
Don't try this all in 1 day:
Tackling just the prioritized, blue tasks will likely take a week with a focused effort of a few hours per day
If you will more likely spend an ~hour a day (completing 1-2 tasks per day) this list can be completed over 2 to 3 weeks
Reward yourself for progress along the way and you won't feel overwhelmed or anxious!
As we near Earth Day in April, think about ways to reduce waste in your home. Bonus points for all the jobs that you can complete using compostable Swedish dishcloths or old t-shirts!
Did we miss something that's at the top of your Spring cleaning to-do list?
